On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Rusty Bindings Ski Club members gathered at the home of Steve Coll for a festive and spirited Mardi Gras “Fat Tuesday” House Party — and what a celebration it was!
From the moment guests arrived, the house was alive with the unmistakable colors of Mardi Gras — purple, green, and gold — shimmering beads, festive masks, and plenty of flair. The evening delivered exactly what was promised: Bon Temps, Cajun & Zydeco vibes, and a warm gathering of friends ready to let the good times roll.
The atmosphere was pure New Orleans. Beads adorned nearly every guest, masks added mystery and fun, and several attendees fully embraced the theme with creative hats, metallic tops, and colorful attire. Conversations flowed easily, laughter filled every room, and more than a few impromptu dance steps broke out as the evening unfolded.
Whether seated around the living room sharing stories or gathered in the kitchen raising a toast, members enjoyed the relaxed, welcoming energy that makes Rusty Bindings events so special.
A highlight of the evening was Steve’s homemade Chickee Gumbo — hearty, flavorful, and served with pride. Guests brought appetizers to share, and the BYOB format ensured there was no shortage of favorite beverages on hand.
The kitchen and dining areas quickly became hubs of camaraderie as friends reconnected over plates of gumbo and shared memories of ski trips past and adventures yet to come.
Masks with vibrant feathers, sparkling beads layered three and four strands deep, jaunty hats, colorful shirts, and even a touch of Creole two-step enthusiasm made for fantastic photo moments throughout the night. Smiles were abundant — proof that Rusty Bindings knows how to celebrate in style.
A sincere thank you to Steve Coll for opening his home and preparing such a memorable evening. Hosting a club gathering is no small task, and this one was executed with warmth, organization, and unmistakable Mardi Gras spirit.
The Rusty Bindings Fat Tuesday Party was more than just a themed event — it was a reminder of the friendships, laughter, and shared experiences that define our club.
